Here at Ryan Salmons State Farm in Wheelersburg, OH, our team brings more than 65 years of combined insurance experience to our neighbors throughout Southern Ohio. Southeastern Ohio has always been home for me, and being a State Farm Insurance agent here has allowed me to support the people and communities I care about most. I grew up in South Point and have lived in Wheelersburg since 1999, so helping new and longtime residents across Scioto County and surrounding areas feels personal. My team—Anita, Emilia, Austin, Caleb, and Hannah—shares that same connection to our towns and neighborhoods, which helps us understand what our policyholders need and how to support them with honesty, integrity, and a wholistic approach.

Family has always been at the center of my life, and it’s the foundation of how we treat people in our office. I’ve been married to my wife, Tammy, for 35 years—we were high school sweethearts—and we raised three wonderful kids. Adam is 31, autistic, and truly the most loving person you’ll ever meet. Maggie is married (no grandkids yet, lol), and Amanda is a Senior at Shawnee State University on an athletic scholarship for cross country and track. When we’re not at the office, Tammy and I enjoy traveling, golfing, and thinking about getting into fly fishing together. We also pour a lot of our time into our two community coffee shops, including Adam’s Flying Pig Coffee House in Wheelersburg, which we helped our son Adam start to create meaningful employment opportunities for adults with disabilities.

Community involvement has always been a big part of my life as well. I’ve been a member of the Kiwanis Club of Portsmouth for 28 years, a founding member of the Challenger League Baseball and the Autism Project of Southern Ohio, and I’ve served on the Scioto County Library Board since 2007. You’ll often see my family and me around town supporting local events, volunteering, or working on projects that make Southern Ohio a better place to live.
